University of Kentucky Wine CSA

The 2022 UK Wine CSA shares are now available for purchase through June 20th, 2022.

What is the UK Wine CSA?  

The UK wine CSA operates similarly to a Community Supported Agriculture subscription.  It is a way for the UK community to support agriculture programs and farms by subscribing and purchasing products in advance of their release date.  The UK Wine CSA model gives members the opportunity to engage with their producer and create a stronger connection to how their products were grown and produced through membership programs and access to small batch production wines.  All the wines in the UK Wine CSA are grown, fermented and bottled at the UK Horticulture Research Farm in Lexington, KY.

Why join?  

By purchasing a membership, you are supporting the viticulture and enology program at UK.  Our programs directly support the grape and wine industry through research and extension and engage students in the process of growing grapes and winemaking to prepare them to become future leaders in viticulture and enology.  You are supporting UK Agriculture, students and the commercial wine industry.  A membership will give you access to member events, limited seating community events, and access to small batch wines.  Please explore our membership options below.  

Blue Membership

  • Includes 6 bottles distributed quarterly (24 bottles total)
  • Access to the annual member appreciation event
  • First access to community wine and vine events at UK
  • First access to small production wines           
  • Swag bag distributed with the December pick up (UK wine glasses, champagne toppers, other goodies)
  • $444 yearly

White Membership

  • Includes 4 bottles distributed quarterly (16 bottles total)
  • Access to the annual member appreciation event
  • First access to community wine and vine events at UK
  • First access to small production wines
  •  $296 yearly  

How to Become a UK Wine CSA Member

1) If you have not already previously registered on the UK Winery website, complete the Online Registration Form and create a Member ID. (this step only has to be completed one time to allow purchases from the UK Winery webstore.)

2) Go to the University of Kentucky Winery webstore where you will be able to  purchase a UK Wine CSA share.

3) Select the option for a yearly membership of your choice and you will receive information about the wine csa share and pick up information.

Pick-up Information

Wine CSA pick up will be quarterly.  June, September, December, March.  Members will be notified of the pick-up dates and select their preferred pick-up location. 

Pick-up locations are at the Horticulture Research Farm (4321 Emmert Farm Lane) and on campus near the Good Barn.
